I've been working my way through the Snupin Santa offerings, and wanted to post some recs before the reveal. Here are a few of my favorites:

Another lovely domestic scene--this time with wolf!Remus resting on the couch with Severus. Severus petting or cuddling with Lupin during the full moon is one of my favorite tropes, and this one is very well-done! The artwork is gorgeous, and I love the contented expressions on their faces, especially Remus's little smile. I was also impressed by all the little details that the artist put into the drawing, such as a wolf head on one of the book spines, and a little snake statue on the bookcase.

Another lovely domestic wolf!Remus + Severus scene. It shows Severus and Remus cuddled up together on bench, watching a wolf cub frolic in the snow--my first thought was that it was Teddy, but after reading the comments, I realized that it could also be Johnny from Ellid's Motherless Child series. Either way, it's a really heartwarming and beautiful piece of art that just makes me go "Awwwww!" when I see it.

Lupin bites and turns Snape into a werewolf to save his life, and nurses him back to health with Snape being unaware that Remus is the one who turned him. (He believes he was bitten by Greyback.) There's pleasure in watching the two grow closer, but also angst and tension as Lupin (and the reader) worries what will happen when the truth is revealed. I don't want to spoil too much, but I left a review saying that it was "angsty, in a good way," and I found the ending to be very satisfying.

A wonderfully fun AU in which the Marauders are superheroes and Severus is a biochemist for Vol de Mort Pharmaceuticals. It was funny to see Tom Riddle as an over-the-top supervillain, and Severus being puzzled as to why the Marauders look strangely familiar, and why his boyfriend runs off and disappears shortly before the Marauders arrive on the scene. I enjoyed reading this so much that I was kind of sad when it ended, and I would love to see it expanded into a series, if the author were so inclined!

Another fun and humorous fic--this one is a post-war fic in which Severus and Remus have (separately) left the Wizarding World to live in the Muggle world, and meet by chance when they both end up working on the same musical production (Severus as a stage manager, Remus as a musician). I loved young Teddy being a musical theater fan and winning over Severus with his enthusiasm, and Remus's eye-rollingly bad jokes. My only complaint would be that it's too short, because I would love to see more of Remus and Severus working together on musicals!
The Easy Way or the Hard Way, for Midlagedfangirl

I loved this post-war story in which Severus turns up on Remus's doorstep with a little Snapelet, as Remus initially dubs Simon, the son that Severus didn't know he had until the boy's mother died. He's overwhelmed by his new parenting responsibilities, but Remus has problems of his own--Andromeda has taken Teddy and run off to America, and Remus will lose custody of his son unless he can reclaim Teddy in the next few days. But Severus is stubborn and resourceful and determined to help Remus in his own snarky, cantankerous way. It was a joy to watch the Snapelet bonding with Severus and Remus, and I loved the way he refers to his father as "my Snape"! :D It was a wonderful story, and I found myself tearing up a little at the end to see Remus and Severus finally finding the happiness they deserve.
The Werewolf Schoolteacher, The Potions-Master-Turned-Baker, and a Pasticceria Altogether, for Rivertempest

A brilliant post-war fic in which Remus and Teddy move to Italy and discover that Severus is also living there, working as a baker in a pastry shop. The descriptions of Severus's chocolate creations are mouth-wateringly delicious, and I highly recommend that you have some chocolate cake on hand while reading this! Teddy is adorable, and the OCs are all wonderful--a vivid and believable mix of characters, some of whom dislike Severus because they see only his outward anger and rudeness, and some, like Severus's employer and apprentice, who see beneath the surface and try to reach out to him in friendship, though his defensiveness causes him to push them away. I also like the way that the bakery employees refer to Remus as "Signor Schoolteacher" or "Signor Sexy Schoolteacher"! ;-) It's a really wonderful story, and aside from the chocolate references (which are awesome!), I love seeing Remus and Severus get a second chance to find happiness together.

A post-war fic in which Remus is suffering debilitating effects from a curse that the Healers at St. Mungo's can't cure. While at the hospital, he is shocked to find Severus, who is supposed to be dead, alive but not well--Severus has lost his memories, and has been drugged and interrogated in a way that amounts to torture. Remus and Andromeda rescue him and smuggle him home from the hospital, and Remus has to nurse him through painful withdrawal symptoms, as he has become addicted to whatever potion the interrogaters were giving him. As Severus slowly heals and becomes more lucid, he helps to heal Remus in turn, as Remus tries to unravel the mystery behind why Severus was hidden away and what his interrogaters were trying to find out from him.
I loved the hurt/comfort, and the mystery was very compelling. I also love how Andromeda and Remus had a very close and supportive relationship. Since she is often portrayed as an antagonist who tries to take Teddy from Remus, I really enjoyed seeing them working together as allies here!
Twelve Steps to a Happy Holiday!, for Unbroken_Halo

Summary: The holidays can be a time of joy, peace, and vigorous carnal indulgences, but not if you're Severus Snape. I love the way that his attempts at using a wizarding dating service ("MagicMatch") go hilariously wrong, and I was laughing throughout the entire fic!
