Zack and Miri
I went to see "Zack and Miri Make a Porno" last night with some friends, and I highly recommend it. It was a typical Kevin Smith film, with a foul-mouthed, irreverent sort of humor, but it was also surprisingly sweet and romantic at the same time. Justin Long (Mac in the "I'm a Mac; I'm a PC" commercials) has a small role as a gay porn star, and he was totally hilarious--my friend said that his scene alone was worth the price of admission, and I agree.
Oh, and be sure to stay through the credits--there's a sort of epilogue about halfway through, and Smith included some silly comments just before the very end of the credits, including "If you can read this, you're driving too close". They went by a little too fast for us to catch them all, so we've agreed to rent it when it comes out on dvd so we can watch the credits again. ^_^
Oh, and I should warn, there's a very gross scene towards the end of the movie that caused the entire theater to exclaim and groan in disgust. I don't want to give away any spoilers, but believe me, you'll know it when you see it.
