Yuletide signups!

Yuletide signups are now open! I plan to request/offer Haru wo Daiteita, Kan You Shouju | Dolls | Plants Doll (that's the Dolls manga by Yumiko Kawahara), and the In Death series by J.D. Robb. I'm so excited about In Death especially--when it was first mentioned on a Yuletide discussion post, I thought, "Hmm, I love the books and I'd love to see fanfic for it, but I'm not sure I could write it myself." But the more I thought about it, the more excited I got about the chance to play with the universe and maybe give some of the supporting characters more of a spotlight than they get in the books--I especially adore Peabody and Charles! Other people seem psyched about it, too, and we coordinated our character nominations so that we could all nominate different characters in order to get as many different characters in as possible. I think that even if I don't get assigned to write In Death, I may go ahead and write a fic for it anyway, maybe for Yuletide Madness or New Year's Resolution. And I hope to be able to read some In Death fanfic, whether it was written for me or not.

I'd also be thrilled to give/receive Haru and Dolls fic, of course, since there's not enough Haru fic out there, and I'm the only one that I know of who has written Dolls fanfic (although it was a crossover with Petshop of Horrors).

Signups end on Sunday, so I'm going to take a little time to think over which fandom I'd like for my fourth request. There are so many great fandoms that have been nominated that I'd love to see fic for, like American Gods, Rizzoli and Isles, the BOSS J-drama, even the Boxcar Children book series that I used to read as a kid! But I'm kind of leaning toward MacGuyver because I used to secretly ship MacGuyver/Murdoc back when the show was airing, before I'd even heard of fanfiction.

So if you're interested in signing up for Yuletide this year, please go over and take a look at the list of fandoms--I am sure you'll see something you'll like! And also, I'll probably need to hit up the F-list for a beta once I start writing, so please keep me in mind if you can spare a bit of time to at least do a quick SPAG check! ^_^

I have nearly the entire collection of In Death book series. The only book I don't have is New York to Dallas, but that's because I'm waiting for the paperback version to be released. I really want to read Celebrity in Death-sadly I have to wait until next month for that one to be released.

Yay, another In Death fan! ^_^ I'm looking forward to Celebrity in Death, too--I'm already on the request list at the local library!

You too? I put in my request the moment I heard about Celebrity in Death being the next title. A pity it's months too early to put in my request for Delusion in Death. That one will be released in Sept. Last I checked the library hasn't ordered that book.
