Random bit of amusing trivia (NCIS: LA)
I was reading People magazine (Nov. 26, 2012, the Sexiest Man Alive issue), and listed among the "red hot stars of 2012" was Eric Christian Olsen, who plays Deeks on NCIS: Los Angeles. He was talking about how he stays in shape: "My brother, who's also my stunt double and an ex-Navy SEAL, designed a workout for us." (It's on p.118 of the magazine if you want to check out it, although it's just a short paragraph and a photo rather than a full article.)
I just found it amusing since one of the characters on the show is an ex-SEAL (Sam Hanna, played by LL Cool J). And also because I recently finished reading the Troubleshooters series of novels by Suzanne Brockmann, in which many of the characters are Navy SEALs or ex-Navy SEALs. Some of the former SEALs have formed a private security company called Troubleshooters, Inc. (hence the title of series) that often takes on contracted jobs for the military. Anyway, I was just LOLing at the idea of one of the Troubleshooters guys being offered a job as a stuntman--which is not out of the realm of possibility, since one of the supporting characters is a famous actor.
I've reviewed the Troubleshooters series here, here, and here, and I've also requested the fandom for Yuletide. Which reminds me that I've been meaning to create a Troubleshooters tag, so I'll add that now!
