Fanfic Tropes Meme (#22-23)
Porn:
22. Biggest turn-ons in fic?
23. Biggest turn-offs in fic?
Biggest turn-ons: Hmm, I don't think that I have any real specific kinks. I tend more towards emotional tropes and Narrative Kinks: a couple getting together after a lot of UST and inner conflict; a distrustful character reaching the point where they can trust and show their vulnerabilities to their lover.
Ooh, wait--I did just think of a specific kinky turn-on! In HP fic with werewolf characters, I like it when the werewolf character "claims" his mate by biting them, and usually leaving a mark to show that "he (or she) is mine". Along those lines, I like it when the werewolf character is a bit possessive, as long as it doesn't cross over into stalky abusive controlling behavior, which would be a turn-off. (Kikuchi isn't a werewolf, but I like him being possessive of Onozuka in my Haru fics.)
Biggest turn-offs: Non-con presented as romantic, and as mentioned above, overly controlling or otherwise abusive behavior. And humiliation is a big squick for me, so I don't like it when a character is humiliated, even if said character gets off on it.
