Last night's episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

I wasn't able to watch Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. last night, so I taped it and just finished watching it now, and it was freakin' awesome!

I loved Peter MacNichol in NUMB3RS, so it was great to see him as a guest star--and as a professor, no less! (Albeit a professor of history rather than physics.) And I absolutely loved the twist of him being an Asgardian hiding out on Earth, posing as a normal human--I totally did not see that coming! I loved his character, who was interesting and charming, if somewhat morally ambiguous (but that's part of what makes him interesting), and I loved the idea of him being an ordinary soldier rather than some legendary warrior or prince. I loved his sarcastic "Oh sure, I ran around with the Prince of Asgard. No, I didn't know Thor!" I really hope they bring him back in a future episode(s) someday.

Man, now I'm all nostalgic about NUMB3RS and want to go watch some old episodes on dvd! I really miss that show, with the great friendship between Charlie and Larry, and the brotherly love/conflict between Charlie and Don.

Another hint was dropped about what did or didn't happen in Tahiti to Coulson. The show strongly seems to be hinting that his memories of Tahiti aren't real and were somehow implanted, which begs the question of what did happen to him. I really hope that he's not some sort of clone or android copy, because I really liked the original Coulson and want him to have survived, but the favored theory in Avengers fandom seems to be that he's a Life Model Decoy who thinks he's the real Coulson.
