Tiger & Bunny/Haru plot bunny
I was reading the Tiger & Bunny manga yesterday, and for some reason it inspired some cracky Harudaki plot blunnies. Basic premise of the story is that superheroes exist, but they're controlled by corporate sponsors and fight crime on a reality TV show; if their ratings sink too low, they're fired--it's kind of a humorous satire of the superhero genre. Kotetsu (aka Wild Tiger) is a superhero whose ratings are starting to slide, so the sponsors pair him up with a new hero, the young and handsome Barnaby Brooks Jr. (dubbed "Bunny" by Kotetsu, much to Barnaby's displeasure).
Kotetsu is idealistic and earnest, and a widower who dotes on his young daughter. Barnaby is cynical, calculating, and image conscious; while Kotetsu cares most about saving civilians and catching the bad guys, Barnaby is more concerned with earning ratings points. However, he does have a dark secret: he is (holy shades of Batman!) on a quest to find the man who killed his parents when he was a child. Naturally, the two butt heads constantly, but gradually begin to form a working relationship and the beginnings of a friendship.

Now, since most of the characters in Haru are actors, I often think about what roles I would "cast" them in when I watch a tv show or read a book. It occurred to me that the beautiful but calculating blond Barnaby would be a good role for Onozuka. Then I was reading a manga chapter where the characters were making fun of Kotetsu's goatee, which then made me think of Kikuchi (dark haired, goatee, older man). And then I started thinking that, given the initial animosity between Kotetsu and Barnaby, it would be hilariously awesome to have Kikuchi and Katou play the roles in a live action show in the Haru 'verse! They wouldn't even really have to act for the bickering scenes! The only problem would be getting Katou to star in the same tv show/movie as Kikuchi!
