geri_chan | Hagetaka dvd set!

Wow, I stopped by Book-Off today, and by sheer coincidence, found a used copy of the Hagetaka: Road to Rebirth dvd set! Region 2 and no English subtitles of course, but I am still stoked. I've seen it air on TV with subtitles, so I know what they're saying and maybe it will help me improve my Japanese. (Maybe I can pick up business terminology the way I picked up a lot of crime terminology from watching Aibou and other detective dramas.) And it's nice that there are a lot of pictures from the show on the inside sleeve. It's funny, because I wasn't planning to go there today, but I had an appointment nearby so I stopped to take a quick look at the Japanese-language dvds and lucked out! It doesn't have the red-and-blue cover that I see on the CD Japan website, so I think it might be missing the outer box, but the dvds and inner sleeve are in good condition, and I got it at a bargain price of $25 when it originally cost 11,400 yen, so I have no complaints.

It seens to have some special features in addition to the 6 episodes, so I'm looking forward to checking it out!

I really want to check out the Hagetaka theatrical movie too, now. Maybe I'll splurge and get it the next time I do a CD Japan order.
