I was watching The Great American Baking Show tonight--not quite as good as the original version, but still a lot of fun. I was surprised to see Paul Hollywood as the main judge instead of Mary Berry (who starred in the last two seasons)! One of the challenges was to create a swiss roll cake with Christmasy designs stenciled on the outer layer of the roll, and I started musing on my cracky Haru plotbunny where Kikuchi and Katou are competing against each other on a baking show. What kind of designs would they create, I wondered, and how I could make Kikuchi and Katou's creations differ from each other?

And then inspiration hit me! Katou would go completely over the top and create a design of Iwaki's face to put on the cake! But it's supposed to be Christmas-themed, so maybe him and Iwaki kissing under the mistletoe? Poor Iwaki would be so embarrassed and Kikuchi would be all, "WTF?! You're crazier than I thought, Katou!" Onozuka would think it was hilarious, and Yoshizumi would be utterly nauseated. I'm not sure how the judges would react; maybe something like, "The cake tastes great, but the design is, well..." *Paul is rendered speechless*
