Summary: Katou and Kikuchi clash on the set of Mochimune's latest movie.
Author's note: This can stand on its own if you haven't read the previous fics, but it's sort of a sneak peek at a future sequel in my "Comeback" series, taking place several months after Going Steady Part 6, after Director Kitamura's film is finished, and Kikuchi, Onozuka, and Katou have all signed on to make a movie with Mochimune. I didn't intend to write the series out of order, but the "Business" prompt on the Youka Nitta IJ Asylum sparked a plot bunny that was just too good to pass up. See the afterword for spoilery details about the movie if you're interested.

Kikuchi silently fumed from the sidelines as he watched Katou kiss Onozuka deeply, then simulate passionate sex with him. He tried to hide his jealousy and keep his expression neutral, but the faint smirk on Mochimune's face indicated that he wasn't as successful as he would have liked.
"Cut!" Mochimune shouted. "Excellent work, you two--very realistic! Okay, let's break for lunch, and then come back and film the next scene."
As the crew members began to leave the set, Kikuchi walked over to Katou and growled in a low voice, "That was a little too realistic, Katou-kun. Did I actually see you slip him some tongue?"
"Katou is a surprisingly good kisser," Onozuka said with an impish grin. "I could almost fall for him!" He winked at Kikuchi, then sauntered off to his dressing room.
"Don't get so uptight, old man," Katou said with a smug smile. "It's strictly business, after all." He patted Kikuchi on the shoulder in a patronizing manner and followed Onozuka to the dressing rooms.

The next scene called for Katou's and Kikuchi's characters to get into a fistfight--over Onozuka's character, of course. Kikuchi found it particularly satisfying to slug Katou in the face.
"Cut!" Mochimune called out as Katou was thrown to the floor by the force of Kikuchi's blow. "Good job; that looked real."
"It felt real," Katou said sourly as he sat up, gingerly touching his nose, which was beginning to turn red and swell up. A thin trickle of blood ran out of one nostril and down across his upper lip.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to hit you for real," Kikuchi said innocently. "My timing must have been off." Katou just scowled up at him in response.
Mochimune seemed torn between amusement and irritation. "If we have to delay shooting because of Katou's injury, the expense is coming out of your paycheck," he told Kikuchi sternly.
"I'm sure if he puts a little ice on his face, the swelling will go down in a few minutes, and he'll be good as new," Kikuchi replied cheerfully.
"All right, let's take a fifteen-minute break, then," Mochimune said. "Katou-kun, go get your face taken care of."
Kikuchi grabbed Katou's arm and pulled him up, over the other actor's protests that he didn't need any help. Once Katou was on his feet, Kikuchi leaned over and whispered into his ear, too quiet for anyone else to hear, "That was personal."

Afterword: (Contains minor SPOILERS for an upcoming storyline in my ongoing Kikuchi/Onozuka series, and also for the final chapters of the Harudaki manga.)
I'm currently working on a sequel to my last fic ("Going Steady") which is going to cover the auditions and filming of Kitamura's movie that Kikuchi is set to star in, the one about the ghost who possesses the young man who receives her heart in a transplant. After that story arc was finished, I was planning to write about Kikuchi, Onozuka, and Katou starring in a movie directed by Mochimune.
However, I ended up jumping ahead in time because I couldn't resist the plot bunny inspired by the prompt on IJ. So consider this a sneak peek at the story to come.
Mochimune's movie is based very loosely on Sawa's background--the bonus story, I think it was in Book 4, where we learn that he was a police detective until he stopped repressing his true self and evolved into the "Sawa Nagisa" that we know. I have Sawa embellishing on the facts to create his next novel, which Mochimune then decides to turn into a movie.
The main character of the movie is the Sawa-character, an upstanding, repressed detective who is ordered to go undercover to investigate the deaths of a number of prominent businessmen and politicians. It turns out that all these men were customers of an exclusive and mysterious underground club that promises to make your secret fantasies come true--for the right price. (The club is inspired by the "Fragments of the Mask" extra story in Book 12, where Sawa invites Iwaki and Katou to the opening of his new restaurant, and they discover the secret dungeon in the basement.) The detective manages to finagle an invitation to the club somehow in order to investigate the murders; he suspects the club owner (Kikuchi), a shady businessman with Yakuza ties, of being involved.
Naturally, the customers' fantasies often involve sex, so the club employs a number of attractive escorts of both genders. Katou's character is immediately captivated by what he at first thinks is a beautiful girl in a kimono, but she actually turns out to be a young man, played by Onozuka. Onozuka's character's cross-dressing is the catalyst that causes the detective's repressed desires to break free. However, Onozuka is also the club owner's lover, who figures out right away that Katou is a cop, and the owner uses Onozuka to spy on him, and a love triangle ensues. (The idea of the exclusive club and escorts was also partially inspired by the yaoi manga series Love Mode, published in the US by Tokyopop's Blu imprint. The series revolves around characters connected to an elite and exclusive male escort service.)
I may also try to work Miyasaka and Iwaki in there somehow, because

snapelike and I were discussing possible crossovers between my universe and her Mochimune/Miyasaka fic. I was originally planning for Iwaki to play the Sawa-character, because he seems to suit the buttoned-down repressed type of character much better than Katou, but I wanted to include the canon storyline of Iwaki taking over the Interpro talent agency and being shot at by the son of the former president, and I figured that Iwaki would be too busy running the agency to be starring in films for awhile. However, he might be able to take on a small role as a favor to Mochimune. Besides, I thought it would be fun to have Katou and Kikuchi star together and watch the sparks fly.
All this is probably way more than you needed to know, but I just wanted to offer an explanation, if anyone was curious, of why Katou and Onozuka are having sex onscreen. ^_^
Incidentally, Onozuka is probably going to come in for his share of punishment later, but he still can't seem to resist provoking Kikuchi, even knowing that he's going to pay for it later. Or maybe he kind of enjoys the punishment! ~_^

Hee hee--yes, it's too bad for Katou that he got hit. Although he did hit Kikuchi in Book 2, so maybe now they're even? ^_^

It's so fun to EVIL-ize the characters! ^_^ Although I wouldn't say that Katou is being too devilish here. It is his job to do the love scene with Onozuka, after all--it's just an added bonus that it also makes Kikuchi jealous!
