Ink Stained Fingers move to A03

The old Harry Potter slash fic archive Ink Stained Fingers is closing down its website and moving to A03 (Archive of Our Own). I have a bunch of old Snupin fics there, mostly written during the time when most of my fandom activity was taking place on the Snape_n_Lupin Yahoo Group mailing list. Since I already have an A03 account, I've elected to import my stories myself rather than having them automatically transferred. This is just a heads-up in case some of my readers are wondering why my old stories are suddenly turning up like new on A03.

I'll be importing them gradually, a few stories at a time. I'm taking the opportunity to correct old typos and clean up the weird formatting--back then, I had no idea how to code HTML, and used a combination of brackets and CAPSLOCK to substitute for italics and such. All of these stories are already posted on my LJ/IJ, but it seemed like a good opportunity to start moving my old stuff over to A03, which I only started using when I started participating in Yuletide. When I'm done with the Snupin, maybe I'll import my other fics as well.

Heh, that has been my plan for the last two years, and I still need to post like half of my HP fics there. :D

Sad to see that HP fandom is deteriorating, but it's no wonder that the mods don't want to dedicate time and money to keep up the archive any longer, not with how AO3 has become the go-to place for all needs ficcy.

It is sad, and I feel a little guilty myself--I haven't posted anythng on ISF in years. But at least the stories will be preserved on A03.

I admit, I haven't been too motivated to move my old fics over, given the lack of feedback on the Haru fics already posted there. But lately I've been getting some kudos on my older A03 stories (I think maybe from Yuletide readers checking my other fics), so now that's a bit more of a motivation now.
