I'm really anxious about how the election will turn out tomorrow--like most Americans, I think. But I've voted early and there's nothing more to do but wait, so I'm trying to distract myself in the meantime with happy thoughts. For today's post, I thought I'd share some of the fannish swag that I've bought recently:
The Harry Potter related swag: a Slytherin notebook that was so beautiful I couldn't resist getting it even though I probably have about dozen notebooks that are still blank, and a little Tori Dango plushie because it reminded me of a baby Hedwig. ("Tori" is Japanese for "bird" and a dango is a little round dumpling made of rice flour, so it's a bird that looks like a dango, which I think is adorable. (Apparently there are also Neko Dango and a brown owl Dango as well, though I only saw chibi-Hedwig at the store I bought it from.)
The third bit of swag is an Eeyore Tsum Tsum keychain that I'm especially stoked about because you have to buy them in mystery packs where you don't know which character you're getting. I wanted Eeyore and managed to score him on the first try! ^_^
