Election Night

I'm shocked, saddened, angry, frightened. I knew it would be close, but I thought my country was better than this. Looks like I was wrong. I don't have the heart to post anything more tonight.

Dear America

Welcome to 1950.

I can't even begin to think about what he's going to break in four years, apart from the globe, apparently, what with the climate change denial.

Is there anyone, apart from white, uneducated men who actually voted for this heap of shit?

Frightened, indeed. A man whose trigger is triggered by... anything... and he has the key to a lot of weaponry... yeah. Damn, I am SO sorry for y'all normal people who are now going to suffer four years with this creep and his hateful and intolerant views.

Thanks, Natt. I'm still in shock, I don't even know what to say.

Believe it or not, he has female supporters. I don't know how any woman could possibly vote for him after he bragged about sexually assaulting women, but I saw some on TV who bought into his story about how it was "just locker room talk."

They are brainwashed by or resigned to patriarchy or think it will get them what they need or want.

Sometimes not being in charge of one's own life can seem comforting.
