geri_chan | Bones: Angela and Hodgins

For any Bones fans on my Friends list, I have a question about Angela and Hodgins...

Do you think they'll ever get back together, or has that ship sailed? I was so sad when they broke up, because I thought they made a good couple, and on top of that, they broke up over something really stupid.

It was natural for Angela to feel conflicted, even jealous, when she found out that Camille slept with the ex-husband. When you have a history with someone, your feelings for them don't just disappear, but that doesn't mean that you want to get back together with them, or that you don't love your current partner. And it was just as natural for Hodgins to feel a little upset about Angela's jealousy. The healthy thing to do (as I'm sure Sweets would say) would be for them to acknowledge each other's feelings and move on. (Although I could've told Sweets that it would be a really bad idea for Cam to 'fess up to Angela that she slept with the ex.)

Instead, neither would back down or give an inch. I got the feeling that they didn't really want to break up, but they each wanted the other to be the one to apologize.

Or they just weren't ready to make a commitment, and this gave them a convenient excuse to break up. It's become clear that despite her protests to the contrary, Angela has big issues with commitment. And Hodgins seems to have been kind of a player before he and Angela started dating. So maybe we'll see them work out some of these issues over the current season.

On an unrelated note, this revolving interns thing is getting a little old for me. I wish they'd just pick one and stick with him or her.
