Snupin Santa recs

I'm way behind on my Snupin Santa reading--in fact, I'm embarrassed to say that there are still some fics from last year's fest that I never got around to reading! However, I'm trying to catch up, and I wanted to recommend a couple of (current) SnuSa fics that I really loved:

Harry Dresden - Wizard, for dizilla 
Rated: PG
Summary: I had never seen and episode of the Dresden Files when I received this request. I had to do a little research. Now I have seen almost all of them and have even read the first book. Thanks for making me a fan, Dizilla. Note that Dresden's POV is in first person and everything else is in third person. If you're a fan, you'd understand. Dresden speaks for himself.

For my non-Snupin friends, if you love Dresden Files, you will love this fic, even if you're not a Snupin shipper and have only a passing knowledge of Harry Potter. The author really captures the feel of the Dresden Files series, even though she had never seen or read it before being assigned this prompt. She has Harry's and (TV) Bob's voices down pat, and I love the snarky banter between Bob and Snape. She also does a great job of weaving the two magical worlds together and explaining the differences between them--for example, there is no Wolfsbane Potion in the US because the White Council has banned it, as they would rather kill werewolves than regulate them. (Which sounds exactly like something they would do, imho.) This really makes me want to go finish watching my Dresden Files dvd set. I've watched about half the episodes, but have been postponing finishing it, because I don't want it to be over with. I came across the series only after I found out it had already been cancelled.

And Snupin fans, even if you haven't read the Dresden Files books or seen the TV series, you should be able to follow the story without difficulty, and I think you'll find it very entertaining. A number of reveiwers have already said that they loved the fic even though they're unfamiliar with DF.

Summary: When Teddy was dropped in Remus' lap, his world was turned upside down. In desperation he turns to the only person close at hand.

A wonderfully sweet and humorous fic that does a terrific job of weaving bits of canon into the non-magical AU--for example, Sirius is a dog breeder. ^_^ It's fun to watch Snape become an unwilling baby-sitter and then gradually grow fond of Teddy, and Ron and Draco are great as a secondary couple who play matchmaker for our boys.
