FIC: True Confessions

(The fics can also be found on the Moonshadow and Ink Stained Fingers archives under author name "Geri.")
I believe that this one was the very first Snupin fic that I wrote for the Snape_n_Lupin Yahoo Group, before Book 5 came out.

Disclaimer: No money is being made off this story; consider it a little wish fulfillment on my part. This is an alternate ending to Prisoner of Azkaban. Also, apologies to Lois McMaster Bujold for giving the truth potion some of the characteristics of the fast-penta truth serum in her Barrayar novels (euphoria, silly smile, tendency to babble). Fast-penta belongs to Ms. Bujold, not me.

Summary: I always wondered why they couldn't have used some sort of truth spell or potion to determine Sirius Black's innocence in PoA, not to mention rooting out suspected Death Eaters. So here's my take on how a little truth serum might have changed the ending of PoA for Snape and Lupin. A stand-alone fic, not part of the Always series.
Author's note: JKR later revealed on her website that Veritaserum is not infallible and that there are ways to guard against it, but that information hadn't been revealed at the time the story was written.
