Happy belated Thanksgiving

Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving! I had dinner with my family and am pleasantly stuffed. I contributed the pumpkin pies--I've never liked store-bought pumpkin pie, but if it's homemade (I just use the recipe on the back of the Libby's pumpkin filling can and it always comes out great), somehow it tastes much better. There's plenty of leftovers for tomorrow, too!

If anyone has any extra pumpkin leftover from baking, my sister sent me a recipe she found online for pumpkin pancakes. I haven't tried it myself yet, but she swears that "it rocks!" It does look pretty yummy in the picture on the blog.

I read a couple of interesting yaoi manga titles from Netcomics, but was too lazy to write up a review. I'll try to work on that tomorrow.

Also, reminder to self: hide the yaoi manga when family comes to visit! My brother came over for dinner and we were chatting in my room, when he picked up a manga volume from my bookshelf and casually started leafing through it. Fortunately, he happened to grab a copy of Emma rather than the stack of Kizuna volumes on the shelf above! ("Emma" is a series about a Victorian-era maid, btw, and a really great read with beautiful, detailed art--I highly recommend it.) Not that it would be a disaster if he did find the yaoi stash--he'd probably just raise his eyebrows and tease me a bit, but it would be a bit embarrassing to have my little brother finding my gay porn stash! ^_^ For the next family visit at Christmas, I'm shoving the porn to the back of the bookcase!
