Yuletide recs, round 2

My first Yuletide fest was awesome! (Except for LJ eating the previous draft of this rec post--grrr!) In addition to writing my assigned fic and receiving a gift fic, I've also been browsing through the Yuletide archive (see also Yuletide Madness), checking out fics in fandoms where I like the source material, but don't normally seek out fanfic for. I'm not sure if Yuletide attracts a higher caliber of writer, or if people work extra-hard on their fics because they're gifts or both, but almost all the fics I've come across are great, and are so in-character that they feel like missing scenes from canon. There are a few that weren't quite my cup of tea, but more because I didn't care for the genre, pairings, or kinks than anything to do with the author's talent or skill.

This list only scratches the surface, and there are still tons of fics that I haven't read yet, in some cases because I need to catch up on the canon (I still haven't finished the Dresden Files series, for example, and don't want to be spoiled for the later books). But these are some of my favorites of the ones I've read so far (see individual fic headers for ratings, word count, and warnings, but generally there's not much to warn for other than explicit sex):
