Argh!

Argh, my computer died! Well...actually just the display screen of my laptop. It just went black when I was streaming an online video last night, although the sound continued to play. Took it to the Apple Store today, and sure enough, there's something wrong with the display and they'll have to send it out for repairs, Will probably take a week, maybe a week and a half (with the Thanksgiving holiday) to fix. I guess it could be worse--at least I don't have to replace the whole computer, but the timing really sucks since I was about to start working on my Yuletide fic. Right now I'm working on my ancient Powerbook which is very slow and doesn't support the current web browsers, so I probably won't be posting too much, although I'll try to keep up with some brief entries for National Blog Posting Month. At least my sister said she can lend me her laptop since she has another computer that she does most of her work on, so when she brings it over in a couple of days, I can get back to my normal online life!

I can still work on the fic, but I'll have to write it out longhand or in a plain text file. I thought I could work in Google Docs, but the old Firefox browser I have doesn't support it, and I'm not able to upgrade to the current version on this old Mac. Oh well, it's a good excuse to use one of the many blank notebooks I have lying around!
