I've blogged before about Jamie Noguchi and his Yellow Peril webcomic, described by the author as an "Asian American office romance comedy" that follows the adventures of main character Kane (pronounced Japanese-style, "kan neh") and his friends as they deal with problems at work (including evil boss Steve) and in their love lives (or lack thereof). It's a lot of fun and makes me laugh (with the occasional more serious and moving moments), and has three-dimensional characters that I really care about. And of course for me as an Asian American, it's always awesome to see more Asian characters, especially main characters and not just sidekicks.

And since many of you on my F-list are slashers, I'll point out that someone on [livejournal.com profile] the_slash_pile (a rec comm for original slash fiction) recced Yellow Peril for having LGBT characters, including Kane's good friend Lance, who is a gay porn star, and a (female) co-worker who's simultaneously dealing with boyfriend problems and an unexpected attraction to a burlesque dancer that she met through work.

The reason that I'm reccing the comic right now is that Jamie is promoting a Kickstarter project to fund his second print book--it's doing extremely well and has already more than doubled its modest goal of $2,000, which means that he'll be adding extra stretch goal incentives such as stickers, prints, posters, and even guitar picks (how cool is that?! ^_^). There are only 9 days left--sorry, I meant to blog about it earlier but got bogged down with RL stuff. You can check out the comic online for free, and if you like it enough to buy a print or digital copy, sign up while you can! The extra goodies that come with any book order make it a pretty good deal, and even the lowest level digital-only backers get a couple of stickers.
