Snapedom banners and essays

Finally upgraded to a Plus Account so I could get additional userpics and use of Scrapbook so I can post pictures to my journal. (I refuse to shell out any money to LJ after the whole strikethrough and boldthrough debacle.) So now I can show off all the lovely snapedom banners I've earned!

For my non-Snapedom friends, snapedom is a Snape-centric community for discussion and debate about our favorite Potions Master. Every month there's a different meta challenge to help inspire discussion, and participants receive a beautiful banner. I didn't take part in January's challenge, so I'll start off with my most recent banner and essay, for December 2007 (the theme was "Lily and Severus"):
